Staff

The globalX team's mission is to lead people of other nations into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We work together to assist international leaders through training, guidance, consulting, and sending volunteers.

Each staff member has functional responsibility for an area as well as responsibility for leading the relationship with one or more international strategic partners. The functional areas are:

  • Rod Brown

    Director of globalX, Buckhead Church

    Rod came to North Point in April 1998 after working at Chick-fil-A for 7 years. He started his career at North Point working in the Singles, 7:22 and Community Groups. In 2004 he joined the globalX team. His responsibilities include strategic oversight of partnership's in the Estonia, Brazil, Slovakia and Romania. Rod enjoys mountain biking, racquetball and other sports as well as spending time with his friends and family.

  • Jim Erickson

    Training and Equipping Director

    Jim came to North Point May 2002 after employment with three church organizations, and operating his own small business. His responsibilities include resource development and translation, international events, the missionary application process, and strategic partnership oversight of Bosnia, Macedonia, and Moldova. He loves being with his wife Anita and their 5 children, antiquing, and long walks.

  • Julio Gonzalez

    Latin America Coordinator

    Julio Gonzalez was born and raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. As a child, his family became part of a church founded by American missionaries. During his high school years, Julio served in his youth group and began to develop a passion for helping people connect with God. Before joining globalX in January of 2007, Julio spent three years with EQUIP, a non-profit Christian leadership training organization. His passion is to see leaders equipped to plant relevant churches around the globe. Currently, Julio coordinates partnerships in Latin American countries.

  • Jeff Goode

    Strategic Partnership Director

    Jeff has been involved in ministry at North Point since its inception. He served on staff as music director and on the creative team developing the weekly Sunday services his first 7 1/2 years. Currently Jeff uses his experience on the globalX team as a consultant and strategist to the senior leaders of our strategic partnerships. Jeff plays bass guitar, and loves to cook, hike, and write music.

  • Lisa Gore

    Logistics and Administration Director

    After four years as the Curriculum Director and Event Planner for UpStreet Lisa transferred to globalX in August 2004. She has a variety of responsibilities including handling logistics for over 30 Short-term trips, coordination, planning and production assistance for special events. When she is not at work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Brett and two children, Jonathan and Jordan.

  • Tomas Gerborg

    Assistant Strategic Partnership Director

    After working for several years in business at places such as Frigidaire, and Sanyo, Tomas started working with the GroupLIFE division of North Point in 2003. He began serving in globalX January 2007 and currently serves as consultant and strategist to the senior leaders of overseas partnerships. Tomas has a beautiful wife, Amy, and two lovely daughters, Emma and Isabella. He loves the outdoors, playing ball and cooking.

  • Carl Keller

    Director of Business as Missions & Least Reach Strategies

    Carl has a true passion for business as well as overseas mission work. An entrepreneur at heart, Carl has been involved with several start-ups businesses in software development. Since joining the globalX team in 2007, his primary role is to equip and assist business owners and executive management teams and help them with a seamless integration of their faith and business. While he has an endless number of hobbies, his latest passions are his wife, Jeanne, and his new son Luke.

  • Craig Miller

    Director of Least Reach Strategies & Business as Missions

    Craig provides direction and strategic planning in working with the Least Reached or Unreached areas of the world. Craig started working at North Point in July 2005. He brings 17 years of business experience including two years working in SE Asia where he established a kingdom business incubator that has started over 55 small businesses. Drawing from a wealth of experience and knowledge in missiology and the relevant church, Craig brings focus and intensity to developing irresistible churches in closed or restricted access countries. He also has a passion for equipping leaders from corrupt societies in biblically based business and finance. Craig loves spending quality time with his wife and children.

  • Billy Nolan

    Director of Short Term Trips, North Point Community Church & Browns Bridge Community Church

    After serving as a missionary with his wife, Shala, in East Asia for more than 6 years, Billy came to North Point in January 2003. Drawing from his overseas experience, Billy not only gives direction to our partnerships in East Asia, Philippines, and South Africa but also provides direction and strategy for globalX short-term trips. Billy enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, photography, and outdoor sports.

  • Tammy Owens

    Finance & Logistics Director

    After working for several years with our Resources department, Tammy transitioned over to globalX in September of 2007. Tammy coordinates the logistics for our Buckhead trips, manages our funding and assists with globalX events such as our Move Conference, volunteer appreciation night, and leadership training. Tammy enjoys the outdoors, playing sports, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Durwood Snead

    Director of globalX, North Point Ministries

    Durwood is Director of globalX, the international ministry at NPMI. He has a passion for uncovering the truth of God's glory for the nations using innovative strategies and partnering with national leaders. Durwood spent 26 years in the corporate world before joining NPMI. Durwood has a wife and five grown children.

  • Jenny Strange

    Director of Short-Term Trips, Buckhead Church

    After working for several years in business at places such as Home Depot and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Jenny came to North Point in November of 2004. Jenny works as the Director of Short-Term Trips for Buckhead Church and also manages our strategic partnerships in Mexico and Spain. Jenny enjoys many outdoor sports such as running, hiking, and mountain biking, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Trent Walters

    Least Reached Manager

    After traveling abroad for several years, Trent joined the globalX team in 2007 working with least reached opportunities. Prior to joining our team Trent also worked with high school students at NPCC and coached basketball at The Wesleyan School. In his free time, Trent enjoys tennis, running, hoops, traveling and hanging out with friends.
